As a sister initiative to the successful GovReuse programme, CouncilReuse follows the same proven approach, ensuring surplus furniture is redistributed efficiently within local authorities and to other public sector organisations that need it most.

Through our sister company, Johnsons Asset 360, we work with clients to redistribute redundant furniture and IT equipment to councils and local government offices, preventing unnecessary waste while supporting sustainability initiatives.

Assets Are Listed

Surplus council and public sector furniture is tagged and listed on the CouncilReuse portal.

Search for assets

Registered council users can browse available items and request what they need.

Authorisation

Requests are sent to the relevant client or department for approval.

Arrange delivery

Once approved, assets can either be collected or delivered with a quoted cost if required.

Offered to other organisations and charities

Any remaining assets are then offered to public sector organisations and charities.

Savings report

Full CO₂ and cost-saving reports are generated, providing visibility on sustainability and financial impact.
